Extracurricular Clubs & Activities

There are over 15 clubs and extracurricular activities for students at Saint Rose of Lima Catholic School to be involved in. They are scheduled throughout the school year to allow for each student to find and develop their own interest and talent.

Book Club

Book Club is for grades 3rd and 4th grade and is to encourage a love of reading by offering an enrichment experience to students.

Chess Club

Chess Club is to learn to play the game of Chess, enjoy playing and challenging ourselves and others and to strengthen our learning skills through the game of Chess.

Choir Club

Choir Club is open to students in 3rd-6th grade or 6th-8th grade. In choir we will develop good singing technique, and work together as an ensemble to create beautiful music! Each group will have a variety of opportunities to perform for parents and parishioners.

Cooking Club

8th grade students will learn the art of hosting a dinner party. Students will learn how to prepare, set up, and clean up when entertaining a group of friends.

Forensics

Forensics is a team of students who prepare and perform selected public speaking events. Forensics is a wonderful way to develop self-confidence and poise while at the same time making new friends and having fun. Students in grades 5-8 are eligible to join the Forensics team. Students compete in tournaments in one of the following categories: Audition/Broadcasting; Dramatic Interpretation; Duet Acting; Duet Improvisation; Duet Interpretation; Humorous Interpretation; Original Oratory; Pantomime; Poetry; Prose; Storytelling; One Act Play; and Impromptu.

Geo Club

The Saint Rose School Geo Club is a group of students in grades 4-8th who gather each month to learn about different countries from around the world. We invite special guests to come share about their culture, customs and geography from their home countries.

We have had guests from Ethiopia, China, Poland, Lebanon, India and New Zealand. Many of our guests are parents or friends of our students, MTSU International students or parishioners.

Little Flowers

Little Flowers learn about female saints so we can imitate their love for Jesus, Mary, and the church and to aid your daughters in their journey toward holiness.

Math Club and Math Competition Team

Math Club and Math Competition Team is a community that works together, has fun, competes strongly and exhibits good sportsmanship while we increase our knowledge and skill set in Mathematics and to have fun and increase our math knowledge and skills and to compete in local math competitions.

Technology Drone Club

The purpose of our club is to allow our students to learn drone basics- building, coding, repairing and flying. We will have monthly missions and work in teams to accomplish a task using the camera sensor on our drones. We will learn hands-on technical and communication skills.

National Junior Honor Society

Members of the seventh and eighth grade with cumulative averages of ninety-three percent in all academic subjects are eligible for membership along with character, leadership and service.

Student Council

Student Council class representatives and officers are elected. Student Councils helps with many school events to include: Senior First Friday Breakfast, student birthdays, school store, Lenten collections, prayers at Mass, Saint Nick's Day, Saint Patrick's Day and school Talent Show.
